Catholic Kitsch

Catholic kitsch celebrates low-brow religious material culture, the Virgin Mary statues, rosaries, and tacky devotional objects that fill the genre. Campy Catholic iconography drives the prints. Madonna prints and rosary-bead necklaces are the staples. Nun and saint motifs cover the rest, alongside kitschy religious items worn tongue-in-cheek.
