Cottagegore

Cottagegore is the dark twist on cottagecore, running pastoral aesthetics through horror, death, and the macabre. Gothic darkness is what it adds to romanticized rural life. Cottagecore garments turn up bloodstained or distressed. Dark floral prints replace the cheerful ones. Torn lace and muddy boots complete the pastoral look gone wrong.
