80's Workout

80s workout takes the aerobics fitness craze of the 1980s into everyday dress, popularized by Jane Fonda's workout videos and films like 'Flashdance.' Bright spandex and dancewear worn as streetwear make the case for athletic femininity and physical culture. High-cut spandex leotards are the base, sometimes thong leotards pulled over tights. Pastel or neon leg warmers cover the calves. Oversized off-shoulder sweatshirts and high-waisted shorts layer on top, finished with terrycloth or elastic headbands and white Reebok Classic sneakers or jazz shoes.
