New Tora

New tora emerged from the growing wealth of Kobe and Nagoya across the 1980s and 1990s, emulating rich-girl campus life through luxury brands and wealthy American dress. The palette runs to traditional colors like navy and black, with pink appearing alongside them. The style is preppy at root, drawing on the Ivy League. Sweater sets and suit jackets carry the tops. Knee-length skirts and plaids cover the bottoms, finished with branded bags, scarves, and jewelry.
