Pinup was first popularized during WWII, its name taken from the magazine posters soldiers pinned up on their walls. The clothing follows 1940s and 1950s styles. Bathing suits, shorts, and tank tops make up the core garments. Red, white, and blue carry the palette, with polka dots and stripes as the recurring patterns.
