Akibapop

Akibapop is a colorful, maximalist Japanese aesthetic rooted in Tokyo's Akihabara electronics and otaku district, fusing maid cafe fashion, anime merchandise culture, and J-pop idol aesthetics into exuberant street style. Anime fans wear it as an extension of their fandoms and idol worship. Maid-style aprons go over colorful mini dresses. Character-print hoodies and idol-concert-inspired layered tutus or skirts cover the rest. Thigh-high stockings and platform shoes go below, with oversized anime tote bags, neon accessories, and elaborate hair accessories on top.
